This has always been our biggest competitive difference. We are proud to have a closely knit, motivated team that embraces our challenges. Employees who share our values and practice them on a daily basis: respect for people, integrity, mobilization for results and safety.
Together, we reinforce our purpose of carrying out mining in a different and more sustainable manner, capable of generating results and building value for society.
In our work environment and in all our relationships, we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and value the free expression of ideas and opinions.
We believe that people are the backbone of our business and make the difference that allows us to achieve our goals and objectives. Therefore, we are dedicated to developing and retaining our collaborators, offering competitive benefits, such as:
Health and dental plan
Extended maternity and paternity leave
Daycare allowance
Private pension
Life insurance
Gympass (for physical activity)
Food Program
Book voucher / School kit
We respect and value diversity in our daily lives and in our selection programs. We believe that it is essential for a more cooperative and innovative environment. As part of our actions to provide a more inclusive and diverse labor market, we joined the Women in Mining Brasil Movement. Its purpose is to expand and strengthen the participation of women in the mineral industry.
To promote the inclusion of women in mining, in the second half of 2022 Samarco’s Internship Program will be exclusively available for women. The initiative offers 65 vacancies for students of all courses at technical and higher levels, who can work from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm and are at least in the 3rd semester of their course, in the case of higher education. Residents of Belo Horizonte, Mariana, Ouro Preto, Rio Doce and Santa Cruz do Escalvado, in Minas Gerais, and Anchieta, in Espírito Santo, or in regions close to these locations can participate.
The action is part of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program and meets the purpose of carrying out mining differently, in addition to being aligned with the ESG agenda and the Statement of Commitment of the Brazilian Mining Institute (Ibram), signed by Samarco in 2019.
Supported by the Apprenticeship Law, our program aims at contributing to the qualification and insertion in the job market of young people from the communities where we operate.
Samarco’s Apprentice Program is biennial. To participate, the interested party must check for public notices with guidelines on registration, which are published here on our website, social media and on the websites of Senai websites of each state: www.senai.es.com.br and www.senaimg.com.br.
